Operations Technician - Contractor

As an Operations Technician at Sheyene Gerardi Technologies, you will work as a key member of our multidisciplinary teams to test, set up testing infrastructure, and maintain our robots. This role will support all aspects of robot operation (primarily indoor). This will include preparing robots for daily testing, operating video cameras, communicating with engineers and technicians about the status of the robots, and setting up props for daily testing.

Day to day activities:

  • Setting up test scenarios that may include arranging props, handling heavy equipment, running video cameras, and other testing equipment.

  • Communicating with engineers, following their instructions on how to run robot tests, and reporting results via text and/or video.

  • Maintaining operations equipment or coordinating with vendors to do so, including but not limited to hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment.

  • Presenting robot demonstrations with the logistics team to potential customers and other high-level visitors.

Desired skills:

  • Experience in a labor field - moving, rigging, maintenance, tree-work, or relevant field.

  • Experience with hand and power tools and ability to follow written instructions.

  • Knowledge of machining and mechanics.

  • Proficiency in standard computer operating systems (Windows 7, Windows 10, etc.) and their corresponding software tools.

  • Ability to own a project from start to finish, including finding the necessary resources to complete long-term tasks.

  • Attention to detail, self-motivated, and able to work in a tight-knit, team-based environment with minimal supervision.

Nice to have skills:

  • Experience with command-line operating systems such as Linux

  • Practical hands-on experience with electronics or electrical systems

  • Experience working with robots and/or robotic systems


Travel:

  • Up to 20% domestic travel

Work Schedule:

  • This position is full-time and has a basic requirement of 8 hours each day. The position schedule will start as a standard 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM shift. As resource needs are identified throughout the lifetime of this position, the schedule will adjust accordingly to times.

Sales Manager, Industrial Applications

We are seeking a sales executive to develop and maintain a sales pipeline for our cutting edge technology.

Day to day activities:

  • Build brand awareness and create demand for Sheyene Gerardi Technologies products

  • Manage opportunity pipeline from identification through closure

  • Analyze customer requirements and applications and recommend appropriate product configurations

  • Qualify sales lead by establishing good customer contact via telephone, email, personal contact, on-site visits, trade shows, etc

  • Effectively manage leads by determining how to best close sales

  • Make timely visits to customers/prospects for equipment demonstrations and sales (extensive travel throughout the defined territory is required)

  • Plan, coordinate and conduct trade show exhibits, seminars, webinars, and customer training and support (responsibilities may include assistance at trade shows and/or seminars outside of the assigned geographic territory)

  • Assist in the development of sales tools including competitive materials, presentations, and other sales resources and assist in the acquisition of sales material including images, sequences, reports, etc.

Desired skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business or related field preferred

  • 3+ years of complex commercial product sales experience in utility industry

  • Strong relationship building skills, with existing rolodex of valuable utility industry contacts

  • Experience with direct sales as well as through dealer/distributors required

  • Desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals with a proven track record of sales success

  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Ability to load, unload, set up equipment weighing 50-70 pounds

Nice to have skills:

  • Ability to multitask in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated time management skills and ability to set priorities

  • Knowledge and/or ability to learn new systems, applications and programs quickly and ability to train others

  • Proficiency with the use of computers and smart devices


Travel:

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time

Supply Chain Sourcing Manager

Day to day activities:

  • Design and implement an effective sourcing strategy to ensure a steady supply of high quality, low cost products

  • Create a supply chain that has the capacity to grow as we add more products and increase sales of these products

  • Monitor all sourcing strategies and policies and ensure the achievement of business objectives and perform appropriate negotiations with all suppliers

  • Implement supplier contracts by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions

  • Negotiate pricing, MOQ’s and EOQ’s with vendors and contract manufacturers

  • Participate in establishing short-term and long-range planning and budget development to support the company’s strategic business goals

  • Work with Sales and Manufacturing to forecast production and minimize excess and obsolescence risks at contract manufacturers

  • Develop new strategic suppliers in various low-cost regions of the world

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to identify supply risks and cost opportunities related to product design

Desired skills:

  • Experience creating and maintaining an efficient global supply chain for complicated electro-mechanical components and assemblies

  • Confidence to take risks, negotiates deals, manage expectations and help create a disciplined development process

  • BA/BS in a technical or business-related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing and/or Supply Chain Management


Travel:

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
